“I was first contacted on a Thursday afternoon encouraging me to attend a Celsius Recruitment assessment the next day. Despite it being beyond his normal working hours, the talent specialist was extremely encouraging and helpful in making sure I was totally confident and prepared for the day ahead. Within one working day, I had already been offered a full time job in the exact role he had mentioned in our first call.
The recruitment training day itself was both interesting and stimulating. We firstly took a small verbal reasoning test, before doing an ice-breaker activity in order to introduce ourselves and our academic backgrounds to the group based on pre-planned one minute presentations. My talent manager had explained all of this to me on the phone to make sure I was confident and well-prepared. This activity worked well as the atmosphere was much more relaxed once everybody had done their piece.
We were then given a team sales-based business challenge which were challenging and encouraged teamwork, as group leaders had to be immediately agreed amongst each team. A group discussion was held and a business plan developed prior to the question and answer style closer.
For those who stayed for the afternoon session, a tutorial was given by Steve on good interview techniques, offering useful advice to different questions and scenarios, whilst answering our own questions when necessary. We were then individually interviewed giving the perfect opportunity to showcase and put into practice the tips and skills we had gained over the course of the day.
Overall I found the recruitment day to be a very positive experience, providing valuable knowledge and information which was ultimately essential for my own first steps into work in a sales based role.”
