The 2016 Summer Graduate Fair

‘Grad season’ is officially upon us and Celsius Graduate Recruitment kick-started it in the best way possible last week by attending the Summer 2016 Graduate Fair at Olympia! We spent a fantastic day meeting a number of recent graduates who are all looking to take their first steps onto the career ladder!
Celsius kicked off the day in the Seminar Theatre, with our Senior Account Manager Tom Bentley delivering an insightful seminar; “How to prepare for and deliver a winning interview”. This interactive session explained the entire process a graduate will go through when applying for their first post-university position; from employer’s perceptions of graduates to what to expect on the day and how to most effectively prepare for an interview. We also provided the attendees with an ‘Interview Proposal Document’; a detailed document which allows you to prepare thoroughly for any graduate interview.

Tom explains “The purpose of the ‘Interview Proposal Document’ is to ensure that every area that a potential employer will ask about is covered. We all know that one of the hardest things about gaining a post-university role is the lack of commercial experience you have as a graduate; however there is obviously nothing you can do about it! By taking the time to fill out this document you have to thoroughly research the company you are interviewing with and reflect on your personal achievements and strengths. With this information ready, you can go to an interview with confidence and let your personality shine”.
Following this Seminar, we made our way back to the Celsius Graduate Recruitment stand, where we spent the rest of day meeting and registering the graduates in attendance. The calibre of graduates that attended was extremely high – we definitely met some future sales superstars! It also felt as though there was an increase this year in the number of graduates interested in a career in technology sales, perhaps unsurprisingly given the pace in which the sector is growing across the Country at present.
